Good December morning to you!
While you’re making preparations for the Chrismtas and New Year celebrations, soaking dried fruit in rum for season cakes, I’m here to treat you with a new beauty digest, hoping to help you find the wrap of your Christmas dream.
Since we are trendy girls, we’ll be creating our winter looks, as well as special Christmas outfits, looking at spring-summer and even early prefall collections. Planned and purchased beforehand, the must-haves of the coming year will put us one step ahead.
1. Wide stripes are back to fashion. The colors can be contrasting, but such color scheme is not for anyone to wear. While slightly differing tints with the changeant (mingled shade) effect, as on wraps created by Girasol, are more universal and easier to combine. There is a rich selection of color schemes, but my choice is Girasol Herringbone Weave Cosmea Azul Pacifico Wrap.
The stripes look well with unicolored clothes, but as long as complexity and versatility are in fashion, let’s play a little. Just look at this marvelous prefall 2016 collection by Antonio Marras.
The top color of the spring-summer 2016 season is emerald green. It’s everywhere: interiors, makeup, and of course in completely green dresses, coats, suits… Add a wrap of the same tone! I found one in Woven Wings Geo Emerald City Wrap (Linen, Wool).
Mystical pattern by Pellicano creates an enigmatic fairytale mood. Wrap your precious darling with a thousand of night wings, and put on your soft chamois armour.
The deep hue will be in harmony with the trendy velvet or chamois leather, and you don’t even have to match the hue, better think of adding an effective contrasting color to this outfit.
The cheerful colors of the 90s are still there on the fashion runways, but if neon colors and leggins are not your style, you might go for large photographic prints and wear them with oversized grunge jumpers and jeans overalls. And don’t forget irony, it’s always in fashion :) Somehow no wrap manufacturer has yet produced a Curt Cobain print (I wonder why not), meanwhile you can play with kids’ theme and wrap your baby into an Alice in Wonderland illustrated wrap, if you please.
Vivienne Westwood’s collection sends us straight back to 90s, and you’ll find Alice’s dress there too.

Here are direct allusions to the story:
Knave of Hearts
Alice herself, with those shoulder pads
And it’s the right time for some irony, remember?
However, I got carried away, so let’s get back to our top-10 in the babywearing fashion industry.
Idyllic picture of the happy life at the seaside in Australia, surrounded by the picturesque sand, rocks and turquoise sea, is offered by Ankalia.
And Rochas tempts us with long translucent dresses, shaped like puffy clouds above Point Cartwright.
A different kind of summer is showing through the Artipoppe wraps: hot jungle, saturated hues, the famous Argus print.
You can’t help wishing to invite this beauty into your wardrobe, right here, right now!
Almost all summer collections have used jungle motifs, for example, Gucci ss 2016.
Denim, our good old trend, is surprisingly feminine and loose this season. I would match it with the perfect handwoven Lenesha wraps. Besides, tsumugi silk is another steady trend among wrap manufacturers. Two birds with one stone!
Since we mentioned Chanel - many of you may have purchased makeup sets from the Christmas collection Chanel Rouge Noir.
Whatever you use: creme shades, nail color, eye liner, lipstick or the legendary 4-color eyeshadow pallette, the Sling Studio Falling Feathers Purbeck wrap will complete your look in mysterious plum and burgundy hues.
Loungewear style is the matter of your personal preferences in the first place. One will prefer a relaxed pajama suit of fine wool, another will wear a flowing laced slipdress and a cardigan robe. A neutrally colored wrap will complete your Christmas-morning outfit.
And the dessert of our beauty feast is velvet. It was in use last season, in winter, then in summer, and here it is again in 2016 prefall. I strongy approve the idea of such a longplaying asset in your wardrobe, especially if it has a deep, rich color. Mix it with glossy silk, cashmere and high-end wraps. Artipoppe, for example, will do fine.
And finally, meet the worst wrap of the month! This time I was perplexed by Kokadi:
Kokadi Xray Wrap (viscose)
See you next year, with the 2015 top-10 wraps!
