Kapok is an exceptionally fine hollow fibre, it's extremely lightweight (about 6 times lighter than cotton) and offers excellent temperature regulation. Its delicate, light properties have earned Kapok nicknames like plant down and plant cashmere. The fibre is naturally coated with a water resistant wax, helping it resist moisture.
