Adopt Babywearing
I was born in Haiti, i was adopted at 11 months by wonderful parents in Québec, Canada!
Sadly, my adoptive father died not long after my arrival in their family.
I did not have time to know my father but my mother filled both roles so well. I was very close to my mother. When i was a child i was insecure, afraid to lose her. The death of my father and the adoption process contributed to that feeling but my mom did everything she could to build a strong attachment bond. I was her daughter and she was my mom. There was no difference, we use to forget my skin colour. She was looking forward to be a grandmother but sadly she passed away to fast. After her death in march 2016, i asked her for a very special gift for my birthday. In my prayers i asked her to bring me a baby. Im sure she heard me because a month later i was pregnant! I like to think she had something to do with it even if we all know how babies are made.
Babywearing in all of that? For me its a way to reinforce the attachment bond between me and my son. A concept very important to me because of my life story. I like to think it allows us to have the same type of relationship i had with my mother.
