Lenesha Malachite Casket Wrap (tussah-silk)

My inspiration book called Malachite Casket and is a delightful series of interlinking stories written by Pavel Bazhov. They are about hard-working and open-hearted people, miners and their families, who are rewarded by mystical Mountain Mistress for their good deeds. The wrong-doers are punished by her: She turned an oppressive tyrant into a malachite pillar. An old man who adopted a little orphaned girl is rewarded by a special silver-hoofed goat: Where this goat stamps his silver hoofed leg, a great gem appears. True love, support, great friendship, family ties is what the stories in this book are praising and teaching our kids.

I used a draft from Eva Stossel's blog using cotton and tussah silk yarn on warp and pure cashmere on weft.
